Terms of Service

The terms under which TripHelm provides its calendar-first trip planning service to you and any AI clients you authorize.

01

The service

TripHelm is a calendar-first trip planning app. The service consists of the TripHelm web application and an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that AI clients you authorize — such as Claude or ChatGPT — can call on your behalf to create and modify your trips.

By using TripHelm, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

02

Your account

You sign in with Google or Apple via WorkOS. You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account, including any AI client you authorize to access your trips. Keep your identity provider credentials secure.

One account per person. Don't share account access with others.

03

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to access trip data belonging to other users.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or circumvent rate limits on the service or the MCP endpoint.
  • Use the service to plan or facilitate illegal activity.
  • Submit content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or is otherwise unlawful.
  • Resell, sublicense, or operate the service as a commercial third-party offering without our written agreement.
04

AI client authorization

When you connect TripHelm to an AI client (Claude, ChatGPT, or any other MCP-compatible assistant), you authorize that client to read and write your trip data using your account. That authorization is governed by the OAuth grant you approve.

You can revoke an AI client's access at any time from that client's settings. Once revoked, the client immediately loses the ability to call TripHelm on your behalf.

TripHelm doesn't control the behavior of third-party AI clients. If an AI assistant makes a change to your itinerary that you didn't expect, that's a result of your prompt and the client's decision-making — not the TripHelm service itself.

05

Your content

The trip data you create — titles, destinations, blocks, notes, metadata — is yours. TripHelm stores it to provide the service and doesn't claim ownership over it.

You grant TripHelm a limited license to host, display, and process your trip data for the sole purpose of providing the service to you and the AI clients you authorize.

06

Availability & changes

TripHelm is provided on an as-is basis. We don't guarantee any specific uptime, response time, or feature persistence. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time.

We may need to take the service offline for maintenance, security response, or operational reasons. We'll try to give notice where reasonable.

07

No warranty

TripHelm is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of itinerary suggestions, and non-infringement.

Itineraries generated or modified by AI clients are suggestions, not travel advice. Verify reservations, transit times, opening hours, and any other operational details before you rely on them.

08

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripHelm and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or trips arising from your use of the service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid TripHelm in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $100.

09

Termination

You can stop using TripHelm at any time. To delete your account and all associated trips, email support@triphelm.com.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if your use of the service threatens its security or stability, or if we're required to do so by law.

10

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to active users in a reasonable way (in-app notice or email).

Continuing to use TripHelm after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.

11

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
